tells the life of Minke, an HBS student of priyayi descent, who is the only Indonesian among Dutch students. With this privilege, he had the opportunity to attend a Dutch-language high school.
Graduating with high achievements, Minke realized that his life as a descendant of a priyayi made him more respected than other natives. On the other hand, he is also aware of the social and racial injustice that occurs in his surrounding environment.
